In this work, Kilim which is a kind of carpet is considered my homeland (Iran). Nowadays, I see lots of my friends and family immigrating. I wish the circumstances were better so they could stay.

Environmental conditions directly affect humans. Over time, humans adapt to the environment, nature, people, buildings, etc. At the beginning of each immigrant’s journey, this sudden shift is very challenging for them. However, based on the human ability to adapt to the environment, this difficulty may gradually disappear. As an immigrant who is in her first year of immigration, I can really understand this challenge and I’m dealing with it. Physical immigration happens in one day or less. Mental immigration happens over time and in some cases, never happens.

In fact, because of unemployment and low wages, they smuggle products as big as fridges on their backs. Imagine going through the mountains in harsh weather while you are carrying such a heavy load on your back!

Some lichens grow only 1 mm per year. This plant can live up to 4,000 years. Most lichens are quickly destroyed by polluted air. Due to a large number of industrial factories, the air pollution level is so high in my city that there are no lichens.

At one point in my life, I would collect discarded garbage from the alleys and neighborhoods around me and try to get them to where I found them in kind of a delightful form. The emphasis is the ugliness of the environment with the trash.
